Beautycounter Popup Shop at Mabel & Zora

When: July 16th at Mabel & Zora, 748 NW 11th Ave, Portland
Did you know that the United States has not passed a major federal law to regulate the safety of ingredients used in personal care products since 1938? Seems astounding.
We've recently been speaking with a company that has taken some steps to get toxic, cancer causing chemicals out of the products we use every day. They're called Beautycounter, and you can read more about them here.
While Beautycounter focuses mainly on skincare and cosmetics, there are also many other everyday products that we all use that contain everything from parabens to formaldehyde in them. YUCK.
Take a look at the list of ingredients on your soap, lubricant, sunscreen, nail polish, hair gel, fragrance, and even our babies' diaper cream. For the most part they all contain several chemicals that we do NOT want in or on our bodies... chemicals that can cause illnesses like asthma, breast cancer, learning disabilities, other cancers and infertility.
We think the argument for using products that do NOT contain toxic ingredients is pretty common sense, don't you? But the question is, where do we find products that are SAFE? And not only should they be safe, but they should WORK, right?
Join us on July 16th at Mabel & Zora to talk with Erin from Beautycounter. She'll bring Beautycounter products for you to sample, and can answer your questions about the SAFE ingredients used in all of their skincare and cosmetics. Consult with her about your own specific skincare needs, and she'll help you design the right regimen of Beautycounter products for your skin.
