Creating a timeless graduation look

Feel great at graduation, look smashing in your photos later on.
Before you shop, do the two-step:
1. Know the look/style your want to create
It's easy (and fun) to have a variety of personal style identities. It can almost be overwhelming with all of the options ranging from boho and goddess to vintage starlet, or tomboy chic. When you pick an outfit with an ideal style in mind, narrow down the print/color palette and elements needed to complete your desired look. Bold colors and prints are beautiful, like this Trina Turk Orange Floral Number. If you prefer plain prints or solid colors, a simple way to finish off a look is to accessorize and add pops of color that support the theme.
2. Know your bod
For the most part, we all have a feel for which styles look the most flattering on our body shape. If you're unsure or if you like several styles, think about what you'd like to accentuate. For instance, if you feel your arms are a great feature, then shop for a fun sleeveless or strappy dress like this Tiffany Bean floral dress with adjustable spaghetti straps. On the other hand, if you notice a stubborn stomach pooch when you see photos of yourself, opt for a ruched top or dress that features ruching in the front. Not blessed with legs for days? No problem. Finding a dress that's above-the knee can elongate and flatter your legs. Tea-length (mid-calf) dresses are very popular right now, like this floral stencil print dress by Cynthia Rowley.
Take risks while you're shopping! Try a few styles that are out of your comfort zone - hanger appeal isn't everything. You never know how great something might look on you.
Have fun, be comfortable, make memories.
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and ready to take on the evening with confidence! Say CHEESE!
